Musica Youth Jazz – St Peter's Church

We regret to announce that the Swing Band Concert planned for next Saturday (21st March) has been postponed due to precautions with regard to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Refunds are available or tickets may be kept for the rescheduled concert.

We are very pleased to welcome back the Musica Youth Jazz (MYJ) to St Peters. Their previous concert back in June 2015 was a fantastic event, with the band filling the church with jazz and nearly lifting the roof off!

The band has recently been recognised as one of the finest jazz ensembles in the country, being selected to play at the Royal Albert Hall in London as part of the Music for Youth Proms.

MYJ will be playing a selection of tunes from across the big band repertoire, from swinging standards and mellow ballads, to funky grooves and Latin American favourites.

Tickets are £8 (£5 concessions – retirees and students) which includes a complementary glass of wine or fruit juice, or refreshing cup of tea or coffee. Doors open at 7PM and we recommend getting to the church in plenty of time as seats will fill up quickly!
