Church Life

We firmly believe that the church is not just the building we meet in, but the family of people who do the meeting! We invite you to explore this section which shows a glimpse into the life of the church.

Services

For details about all the services we hold, see our Services page.

Bridge project

On Wednesdays, during school term-times, St Peter’s opens its doors to welcome people to our own luncheon club augmented by activities.

Childrens groups

We run 3 different age groups during the 10:30 morning service most Sundays during term time – apart from the first Sunday in the month when it is an All Age Service for families to share together. Children and young people go to their groups, then join the rest of the Church family before the end of the service.

All members of the Children’s Team are DBS checked and Safeguarding your children is a matter we take very seriously when planning activities and how we relate to the children in our care.

There is more information available about the Little Fishes (age 2 – 6), Explorers (age 6 – 9/10) and Rock Solid (age 10+) groups.

We also run a Thursday St Peter’s Playtime for pre-school children.

Housegroups

We have a thriving set of groups which meet in homes around the area, where church members can get to know one another better, support each other in day-to-day life, and study the Bible together. Joining a housegroup is like joining a new family!

Bell ringing

The noble art of campanology is alive and well at St Peter’s! Our magnificent ring of 8 bells are regularly rung for services and special events.
