Traditional Sunday Service

At 9 am on Sundays we hold a traditional style Holy Communion service. Most of the hymns are traditional and led by the sound of the pipe organ and we use more traditional language for our prayers.

What to expect

You will receive a warm welcome.

The sermon lasts for about ten minutes or so.

We invite everyone to the communion rail. If you take the bread and wine in your own church we welcome you to do the same here. Otherwise you can come to the communion rail for a blessing – but there’s no pressure to do anything you don’t want to.

Afterwards

Refreshments are served after all our services and we are pleased to serve real fair-traded coffee for the discerning palate. We would love to meet you and have a chat after the service, and if it is your first time visiting St Peters we would appreciate you filling in our visitor card to help us find out more about you.
